This week, I had a chance to sit down with John Heilemann to discuss the 2022 midterms and what’s at stake. He asked me how confident I am on a scale of one to ten that we can hold Congress, and I shared with him what I’ve often shared with you: I am very confident (an eight on his scale) that together we can win.

We talked a bit about the future of our democracy, and I named the reality that we’re all witnessing the radicalization of the Republican party. We’ve seen members attend white nationalist conventions without consequence. Republican leadership is determined to cover up an armed insurrection and an attempted coup. 

Put simply, everything is at stake -- and I believe that voters know it.
