Tomorrow, April 16th, admission to all national parks is FREE!

My family and I love visiting our country’s national parks, and in
Congress I’m proud to be working to preserve our national parks and expand
Americans’ access to them.

On a recent roadtrip to look at colleges, my son and I visited Cuyahoga
National Park in Ohio and the Indiana Dunes National Park along Lake
Michigan. Both parks are near more urban areas which deal with pollution,
and are great examples of what we need to see more of as part of Biden’s
30x30 initiative to clean up pollution. 30x30 is the Administration's goal
to conserve at least 30 percent of U.S. lands and freshwater and 30
percent of U.S. ocean areas by 2030. But we have a lot of work to do to
get there, and I’m pushing the Administration to go beyond announcement
and into action-mode!

If you have a 4th grader, make sure to check out the Every Kid Outdoors
program. It allows 4th graders and their families free access to national
parks. Last year, the House passed my legislation to fund Every Kid
Outdoors, and my family celebrated with a trip to Zion National Park.

I’ll keep fighting to preserve our parks and make sure ALL families are
able to access and enjoy them. As the weather warms up, I hope you’re able
to enjoy one near you!
