John,

Public fundraising reports from last quarter are out. Our numbers are strong, but in total, our GOP opponents still outraised Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan by tens of thousands of dollars.

There’s no doubt about it: We’re in the fight of a lifetime this year. If we’re going to win in November, we need to keep our foot on the gas – and that means reaching our $40,000 mid-month goal by 11:59 pm tonight.

We still need to raise more than $8,000 to get there. If we don’t pull it off, we’ll have no choice but to make cuts. Can you chip in any amount (even $3!) to help us make up the difference?

The work we do in the coming months will shape the future of our state for generations. And we’re not just talking about critical issues like voting rights, abortion rights and climate change. All of our most fundamental values as Minnesotans are on the line.

Just this week, leading Republican candidate Scott Jensen argued that counting diabetic Minnesotans among those who passed away from COVID-19 “skewed” the data because they would have died soon anyway.

Appalling but not surprising, Jensen’s comments align with his prolific history of peddling COVID-19 misinformation. The well-respected, nonpartisan organization PolitiFact even cited Jensen as having played a role in spreading what it called the “Lie of the Year 2020: Coronavirus Downplay and Denial.”

If we’re going to make sure Minnesota continues to be a place where we trust science, put people before politics, and govern with empathy, we can’t let this Republican Party retake power. Please make a donation that works for you by MIDNIGHT to help us win in November.

Thank you,

Team Walz-Flanagan
