Today, Rashida officially filed petition signatures to be on the ballot for her re-election campaign for Congress.

Thanks to our growing field team, we were able to submit 2,000 signatures—the maximum allowed—from supporters in each community in the district. And we submitted them early, ahead of next week's deadline.

It’s important that our field operations are up and running, because due to redistricting, Rashida is running in a new, larger congressional district: Michigan-12.

While Rashida currently represents two-thirds of the residents in this new district, a full one-third of the district needs to hear from our campaign early and often in order to combat attacks from our opponents.

When residents meet with Rashida in person, they’re 100% sold on her leadership―seeing how she delivers for her district and uplifts marginalized communities and working people. But with attacks from special interests coming every week, we need the resources to not just respond, but get out in front of these ugly attacks.
