There are 140 million poor and low-wealth people in this country, and 700 people die a day from poverty and inequality, and this was before COVID. Poor and Low-income people died at a rate from 2 times to 5 times higher from COVID and this didn’t have to happen. COVID did not discriminate but the nation it's policies and provisions did!
Over 87 million people in this country are uninsured or under-insured. Over 30 million people who work, work for less than a living wage of 15 dollars an hour!
Voter suppression as it continues to spread across this nation could negatively impact 55 million voters this fall.
NONE of this has to be! Poor and low-income people make up one-third or 30 percent of the electorate and WE WON'T BE SILENT ANYMORE!
It is time for a moral reset meeting!
A justice meeting!
A declaration, not a day, meeting!
A movement meeting!
The poor and low-wage workers with religious leaders and advocates of the Moral Assembly and March on Washington and to the Polls is that meeting!
IT'S TIME FOR A MEETING!!
TO:
Put a human face on the number until America sees herself and laments!
Put a third reconstruction 14-point agenda before the nation!
Put a moral critique before the power structure and challenge them to uphold the promise to establish justice!
Put revolutionary love and truth at the center of public debate in the country and an all call for commitment to engage every moral non-violent strategy to push the nation to address systemic racism (voter suppression, immigrant justice, false incarceration and mistreatment of indigenous people), systemic poverty, ecological devastation, the denial of healthcare, the war economy, the false distorted immoral narrative of religious nationalism and white supremacy as interlocking injustices and evil that must be confronted by a sustained, deeply intersectional, moral fusion movement.
Forward together, not one step back!
