Here’s why: Tonight we’ll officially be halfway through April, but as of this morning we’re just 36% of the way to our monthly fundraising goals.

I know we talk about these fundraising goals we set a lot, especially in emails like this one. But I hope that shows just how important they are to the success of our campaign.

These goals are not arbitrary — they’re what we need to raise in order to continue organizing our movement and building support for our progressive agenda. And we know 2022 is going to be a critical year politically.

Each and every donation we receive represents the strength of the nationwide grassroots movement we’ve built together. And it’s your support that allows me to stay laser-focused on the work you all expect me to do, instead of worrying about fundraising and dialing for dollars every day like some of my colleagues.

The truth is that we can’t afford to fall short this month — not in this key mid-term election year with so many important fights on the horizon. So that’s why I have to ask:
