This is the reason I ask: my finance team let me know that we’re pacing behind on our April goal. Because we’re at the halfway point of the month today, we’re hoping for 100 more donations by the end of the day to close the gap.

I know that the election seems far away, but the truth is that raising money early in the year allows our team to make important plans for our campaign – including advertising online and on TV, reaching voters all across Illinois and countering Republican attacks and disinformation.

So hitting our April goal is very important, and it will be much more difficult without your support.

So please, if you are able, pitch in $5 to my campaign before the end of the day.
