The Week in Review
I wish you and your families a wonderful Easter!
This week, I joined the House Committee on Oversight and Reform’s border trip to promote the need for my congressional colleagues to see the border crisis first-hand. I hope you’ll read below to learn more about important happenings:
Drop Zone 2022
Our 3rd Drop Zone event will take place next Saturday, April 23, 2022. Drop Zone is a resource fair for veterans, seniors, and their families to gain easy access to the services they need. Check out the poster below for more details. We hope to see you there!
House Committee on Oversight and Reform’s Border Trip
This week, I joined Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.), Representatives Yvette Herrell (R-N.M.), Glenn Grothman (R-Wisc.), Pete Sessions (R-Texas), Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), and Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform’s border trip.
We traveled from San Diego, California, to Yuma, Arizona, to examine President Biden’s border crisis first-hand.
We toured ports of entry, detention facilities, and President Trump’s border wall. We also spoke to local, state, and federal officials about the ongoing problems resulting from President Biden’s open borders policies.
At the conclusion of the tour, the lawmakers and I held a press conference to discuss our observations.
Make no mistake, the Biden Border Crisis is real and has turned into a global phenomenon.
While touring the region, we came upon dozens of foreign nationals from countries ranging from Haiti to Uzbekistan to Portugal. Despite what the media and Democrats say, most of these individuals are not fleeing persecution; they are simply looking to be released into our country for economic opportunity. The data shows this as well as first-hand observations where I saw individuals crossing the border with brand new clothing, expensive suitcases, and even smartphones!

Definition of the Week
There’s no doubt about how bad inflation is in our country. Inflation has increased every month of Biden’s presidency. We’ve now reached a 40-year high for inflation, with the consumer price index hovering around 8%. Arizona has the highest inflation rate of any state.
Under Biden, America faces historic price increases in gasoline, electricity, food, and rent.
Courtesy of Michael Knowles’ Speechless, here’s what we think is the latest definition:
Bidenflation: NOUN: high consumer prices resulting from President Biden’s reckless spending habits.
