It’s been 54 years since the Civil Rights Act was created and still:
- Black Americans are three times more likely to live below the poverty level than their white neighbors
- Latinas continue to work the same amount of hours, but only make 57% of the salary compared to their white, male coworkers with the same level of education and experience
- Hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have risen 339% since the beginning of the pandemic
We cannot let these communities be left further behind. Donate now to send a CLEAR message that we are ready to fight tooth and nail for candidates who are ready to reaffirm the Civil Rights Act of 1968 and uphold our Democratic values.
Our team is working tirelessly to research and support Democratic candidates across the U.S. who are ready to defend marginalized communities! If you’ve been wondering who you should support this November, we make it easy.

John, do you believe every Democrat running for Congress should commit to reaffirm the Civil Rights Act of 1968?
YES!Already in 2022, GOP leaders across the country have introduced 250 new pieces of legislation that directly threaten the constitutional right to vote. Across 27 states, power-hungry Republican leaders are looking to turn back the clock to the days of Jim Crow laws and suppress the voices of Democratic voters, especially voters of color.
We can’t go back and we won’t.
Today marks the 54th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1968. This day serves as an important reminder about the fundamental values of our mission: to end discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
While we have made progress both as a country and as a party, women continue to face societal and financial barriers that deter them from running for office – that’s how we know the work is not over.
A Woman’s Place is determined to tear down those barriers that Democratic women, especially LGBTQ+ women and women of color, face to this day when running for office.
We help put women where they belong: in positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
John, are you ready to join our mission? Donate now.
