REGISTER at EVENTBRITE Bob and Wade have known each other for a long time, but after the tragic death of O.U. starting linebacker, Austin Box from Enid, Wade realized that Bob Stoops was an even greater man than coach. REGISTER at EVENTBRITE The presentation we will hear tonight has been presented twice to the entire football team and staff from O.U. Both times, though years apart, there was a standing ovation from the players. Register Now Last year, coach Bob Stoops was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. In 1999, he took over a hapless O.U. football team and a program that had fallen out of the national limelight. The next year, in 2000, he led the Sooners to an undefeated season and a national championship, outscoring that season’s opponents 481 – 194. REGISTER at EVENTBRITE Stoops' penchant for winning big games early in his career earned him the nickname "Big Game Bob" and his 2008 team went down in the history books as the highest scoring team in college football history, scoring a total of 716 points, averaging 51 points per game. That season, in a stretch of five consecutive games, the Sooners scored 60 points or more, another record (in the game prior to the streak, the Sooners scored 58 points). Bob will bring some autographed O.U. footballs that OCPAC will give away through a drawing to a few fortunate youth.
