Which is your favorite holiday: Christmas or Easter? They actually go together as a set. In fact, Christmas points to Easter. Each year when my family puts up our Christmas tree, the first thing hung on our tree is a long spike nail. We hang the nail near the trunk of the tree, out of sight, as a quiet reminder that the Christmas manger points to the cross of Good Friday and the empty tomb of Easter.
I pray your family has time to gather this Easter weekend and to reflect on the forgiveness of God. We can all pause and remember God’s goodness to each of us and our opportunity to be a new creation in Christ because of His payment for our new life.
