Happy Abortion Positive Tour!

Friend,

I’m thrilled to share that URGE’s #AbortionPositive Tour kicked off today (in person!!) in California.

The Abortion Positive Tour (APT) is our yearly celebration of abortion as essential health care. Our #AbortionPositive Tour gives everyone — but especially young people in the South, Midwest, and California — the opportunity to take action and proudly declare their support of and love for abortion. This year is really exciting because for the first time in two years we are back to doing in-person Abortion Positive Tour stops!

So, what does it mean to be Abortion Positive?

Being abortion positive means no shame, no stigma, and no apologies!

  • It means knowing that “abortion” isn’t a bad word and that having an abortion isn’t a bad decision.
  • It means sharing your abortion story if you want to.
  • It means making it clear to family and friends that you will be a resource and a source of support for anyone who needs an abortion.
  • It means moving abortion health, rights, and justice to action, not just defense.

Want to be #Abortion Positive? Here’s three ways to start now:

Abortion is a personal decision. The world is better when those who need an abortion can get one easily, affordably, without stigma, and free from political interference.

I am proudly Abortion Positive because I know abortion is a public good. I care about normalizing abortion, so there is less taboo around abortion and more people can access it without shame. I know that abortion gives people control over their lives.

Sign URGE’s #AbortionPositive Pledge today to join the movement to destigmatize abortion.
