An impeachment inquiry is not something any of us signed up for when we elected Abigail to Congress. It wasn’t something I was thinking about when Abigail asked me to manage her campaign.
When Abigail ran for Congress, she did it because she wanted to continue serving her country and her community. She saw the challenges that Central Virginians are facing, and she wanted to be a part of the solution.
And she also has a solemn duty to defend the Constitution. And as a former CIA officer, who worked undercover overseas for our nation’s interest, she takes the impeachment inquiry very seriously.
John, when Abigail and her colleagues wrote the Washington Post editorial a few weeks back, it was one of the proudest moments of I’ve had while working with her, but it was also a signal of the turbulent times we’re in.
Since that editorial, Abigail’s opponents and Republican Super PACs have unleashed a flood of negative advertising against her.
Why? Because she is standing up for the Constitution and the pursuit of facts and evidence.
