Health and Human Services Secretary Becerra came before the Budget Committee last week but instead of doing his job and addressing my concerns, the Secretary played political games and dodged my inquiries. I asked him if HHS was funding the mutilation of gender confused children through surgeries that permanently alter their bodies, but he danced around the question. I also asked if parents who believe in two genders should be worried about having their children removed from their homes, but again the Secretary declined to give a straight answer.
This week, I sent a follow-up letter to Secretary Becerra demanding a written response to my questions. The American people deserve to know the extent to which the Department of Health and Human Services is grooming and sexualizing our children with your hard-earned tax dollars.

The Left is always talking about how we should follow the science, but they are choosing to ignore it when dealing with gray wolves. The science is clear: gray wolves are fully recovered, and there is no reason to re-list them as an endangered species. With over 6,000 gray wolves in the lower United States at the time of delisting, gray wolf populations have already far exceeded scientific recovery thresholds established by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. As a result, the agency removed them from the federal endangered species list and transitioned to an innovative state-led management approach.
However, an activist California judge decided to hold the entire nation hostage and re-listed the gray wolf unilaterally. Congress has never delegated judges the authority to make sweeping policy changes under the Endangered Species Act, and it is necessary for the Biden regime to appeal this awful decision in order to preserve our Constitutional separation of powers.
I led 23 Members of Congress in a letter to Interior Secretary Haaland urging her to stand for the rule of law and follow the science. Additionally, I will be introducing legislation to delist the gray wolf in the lower 48 United States. Colorado farmers and ranchers should not have to succumb to the whims of an activist California judge when trying to protect their livestock from wolf attacks. I will continue to stand with our farmers and ranchers against encroaching rulings and federal policies.

I had the privilege of stopping by our Colorado State Capitol and providing a legislative update to Members of the General Assembly, including my own Representative and friend, Perry Will!
I provided an update on the work I’ve been doing for Colorado, including my nine items signed into law that will direct important federal resources to support Colorado’s farmers and ranchers, rural communities, and first responders. As summer wildfire season is just around the corner, we also discussed my ongoing work to prevent wildfires through my Active Forest Management, Wildfire Prevention, and Community Protection Act. It is a commonsense bill that both sides of the aisle should be able to get behind that will put rural communities first, save lives, and protect the environment.

While the Biden regime just extended the mask rule on airplanes, they also just announced they are dropping the public health rules for illegal aliens.
Illegal aliens have always gotten a free pass with Biden and COVID. When Border Patrol agents were forced to either get vaccinated or get fired, Biden proposed a plan to give illegal aliens $450,000 each. While the rest of the country was told to shelter in place, illegal aliens have been allowed to come across the border in droves. While our children were forced out of their schools, illegal aliens were able to get in-person instruction from teachers in classrooms. This list goes on and on.
Now, Biden decided to give the cartels another win by choosing to stop enforcing Title 42 prohibitions. Title 42 has helped keep the American people safe and prevented illegal aliens with communicable diseases like COVID from coming into our country. This disastrous decision to rescind Title 42 will only make the Biden border crisis worse.
More than 2 million illegal aliens have been apprehended by Border Patrol since Biden took office, with an additional 1.4 million illegal alien "got-aways" estimated to have evaded apprehension and entered the homeland. By this fall, nearly 7 million illegal aliens will have crossed the southern border. To put this in perspective, that is larger than the populations of Denver, San Francisco, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Boston, Seattle, Miami, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Portland, Tampa, and Detroit—combined!
I introduced the Secure the Southern Border Act to put a stop to the Biden border crisis now by building the wall, halting catch-and-release, reinstating the remain in Mexico policy, and restoring the rule of law.

Craig Press, Rep. Lauren Boebert propels effort to ‘uphold gray wolf science’
“Along with Boebert, Tiffany and Rep. Ken Buck, also of Colorado, another 21 congressmen and congresswomen signed the letter encouraging Haaland to appeal the judge’s decision. Colorado Farm Bureau President Carlyle Currier also took a stance against wolves being reinstated. Rep. Boebert’s office also noted that her appropriations request for $1 million for the Wolf-Livestock Loss Demonstration Program will help compensate farmers and ranchers whose livestock are killed by wolves reintroduced through federal programs after being signed into law. According to Rep. Boebert’s office, she also will introduce legislation soon to delist the gray wolf in the lower 48 states.”
Fox News, Rep. Boebert on Left's agenda for kids: What is happening in America?
“Liberal bureaucrats ‘are doing anything in their power to protect these people who want to sexualize and groom our children…It is a sad day in America when the Secretary of Health and Human Services is using his position of influence to promote gruesome gender reassignment surgeries on children,’ Rep. Boebert added.’”
Denver Post, Lauren Boebert and fellow Republicans want gray wolves removed from federal endangered species list
“‘Some activist judge from California shouldn’t be able to overturn the best available science and contradict the law based on his own leftist political beliefs,’ Boebert said…Boebert and the other representatives, including Colorado’s Ken Buck and Doug Lamborn, addressed the April 7 letter to Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, asking her to appeal the February ruling, calling wolf populations ‘fully recovered’…The majority of counties in Boebert’s expansive district covering the Western Slope, where the wolves will be reintroduced, opposed the statewide measure [reintroducing wolves.]”
Fox News, Rep. Roy, 75 House Republicans press Biden admin to resume police escorts for veteran 'honor flights' in DC
“Honor Flight Network[‘s]…mission is to ‘celebrate America’s veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at our nation's memorials.’ It flies veterans from around the U.S. to D.C., often with special medical accommodations, so that they can view the memorials they otherwise may never have the chance to see…Among the 75 co-signers of the letter were House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy [and]…Lauren Boebert.”
