Fellow American,
When I joined the Marine Corps in 2011, it became apparent that my calling in life was service: Service to my country, service to my family, service to all Americans.
I decided there and then that my purpose was to do something that mattered – beyond myself. Something that would help people.
So, I did just that. I served nine years in the Marine Corps, four overseas tours, and remain in the reserves – ready to help if I’m needed.
Before you click out of this email, allow me to persuade you not to; My name is Tyler Kistner and I’m asking for just a few moments of your time today. As a favor to a veteran, please read this entire email.
The year that I joined the marines was coincidentally the same time that I became increasingly concerned about the direction our country was headed towards.
Politicians that only served themselves.
A currency that was becoming meaningless due to inflation.
Restrictions enforced by unelected bureaucrats.
I’m 34 years old; a husband and a father to two beautiful children. I don’t have a famous last name, I’m not a minority candidate and the craziest thing I’ve done in my life before is to run for Congress. In case you were wondering why you may not have heard from me before now, it’s because I lost in 2020 by less than 11,000 votes in what became one of the closest congressional races in the 2020 election.
When I decided to run for Congress the first time, I knew things would be tough. I didn’t have the resources, knowledge, or background in politics. Heck! I didn’t even have a campaign manager. But as it turns out, other Americans were on the same page as me – we didn’t need another self-serving politician in Washington! My message resonated with people, and we ran a historic campaign, losing to a well-funded Democrat by just 2%.
I’m running to unseat the same Democrat once again – and like last time, she’s very well-funded. In fact, her latest report to the Federal Elections Commission indicated she has more than $3 million to use in attacks against my campaign.
In a district with as many Republican voters as Democrats, this race could go either way. That’s why I’m asking for your help today. Will you join my team via contribution of $2, maybe $3 today?
The Marines taught me to never give up and that everything is achievable if one works hard enough for it. Over the past two years I’ve laid in bed wondering what might have been if I had an adequately funded campaign. I’ll never know. I do know that I’m running against the same Democrat who beat me in 2020 and this race is likely going to be even closer than the one from two years ago. That’s why I’m reaching out to you today: I’d hate to get so close to victory again and run out of money just before Election Day.
I’m running for Congress for one reason: to serve the American people.
I don’t trust the current politicians leading this country to do what is best for my children, or yours. Here’s what I do trust: that a service-minded marine like myself will always stand up for you, and your family.
Today, I’m asking for your help – because I know that this mission will take a strong team, and that no man can win alone. Will you support me today to send a marine to congress, so I can serve you?
I’m never going to be the loudest conservative in the House – nor the most colorful – but I’ll put my head down and work diligently to get the work of the people done. Isn’t that worth something anymore?
I know that service starts with protecting our nation and putting law-abiding citizens first – not opening our border, defending criminals, and defunding the police. In 2011, I took an oath to defend our nation, and I intend to keep that promise.
I hope I can count on your support today, so that I can serve you in the future.
In Service, Tyler Kistner Father. Husband. Marine.
