It's clear that Colorado is key to the National GOP’s strategy to flip the Senate. Mitch McConnell and his fellow Washington Republicans only need to flip one seat to take control of the Senate and bring Michael’s progress to a grinding halt.

This year:

• Rick Scott — chairman of the National GOP group trying to flip the Senate — called Michael out by name while breaking fundraising records;
• Trump loyalist KellyAnne Conway joined Michael’s opponent to flip our state;
• And recently the National GOP announced they’re dropping organizers across Colorado in an attempt to turn our state red.

The National GOP has been paying attention. They’re all encouraged by recent news including a poll that showed Michael down 1% to a GOP opponent and repeated rankings that show our race in the top 10 most likely to flip.

Michael has dedicated his work to improving the lives of working families in Colorado by fighting to cap out-of-pocket insulin costs at $35, hold Big Oil accountable for profiteering at the pump, and securing a historic investment in repairing our bridges and roads while creating good-paying jobs across the state. His achievements make him a top target for Rick Scott, Mitch McConnell, and his opponents. And they’re building a warchest to flip his seat.

We don’t need to outraise the National GOP, but we do need to close the gap in our fundraising efforts to invest in tools that will help us out-organize ahead of the election.
