One in four Americans struggle to afford the meds they need. Hey Indivisibles,
We’re back with a new addition to our Let’s Go Joe Executive Actions Campaign -- lowering prescription drug prices! This is a very important priority because one in four Americans struggle's to afford the medication they need to stay healthy and alive.
We know that issues like these disproportionately affect people of color. And we also know, that at the same time, Big pharma and the private insurance industry have continued to needlessly jack up essential prescription drug prices amidst the pandemic, while tax-payers provided them with vital research from the NIH and other public agencies to develop many of these medications.
This must stop.
That’s why we are urging President Biden to use his existing legal authority to dramatically lower the cost of essential drugs like insulin, EpiPens, asthma inhalers, and more. President Biden has the authority to unilaterally lower drug prices right now. But he needs to hear from us, and from members of Congress (MoC), that we want him to get it done!

We have already had some major victories from our Let’s Go Joe campaign including another extension of the pause for federal student loan payments until August 31, so we know from experience that pushing for popular executive actions works.
There are some other tactics on the Let's Go Joe site if you’re really excited about this work and want to do more.
The Biden administration has the power to change the course we are on. President Biden can and must take robust executive action across a multitude of issue areas to deliver for all of us. We’re in a critical moment to demand bold action from the Biden administration and, if we’re successful, win meaningful and immediate improvements to peoples’ lives.
We know administrative advocacy is still fairly new to us, but the recent positive executive actions that President Biden has taken on immigration and student debt signal that we are on the right track and there is no one else we would rather be on this new adventure with than you.
In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
