Right-wing billionaire Peter Thiel has been writing $10 million checks to GOP candidates running in this year's midterm elections.1
He's backing 16 Senate and House candidates, many of whom have embraced Donald Trump's Big Lie of a stolen election.2
There are some things you should know about Thiel: He says he's come to "no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible" and regularly hosts and attends white supremacist events.3
He is also a tax dodger who has used stock deals unavailable to most people to amass a "$5 Billion Tax-Free Piggy Bank," according to an exposé by ProPublica.4
You read that right: $5 billion.
Now, with control of Congress up for grabs in a few short months—the Senate is tied, 50-50, and Democrats have the narrowest majority in history in the House—we can be sure that Thiel and his right-wing billionaire buddies will spend whatever it takes to buy GOP control of Congress, paving the way for massive billionaire giveaways, attacks on our democracy and climate, and a preview of Trump's reelection schemes.
We absolutely can't let that happen!
Which is why we're partnering with MoveOn to protest Big Money in politics. We're asking you to join us in rubber-stamping bills with the message, "Stamp Money Out of Politics." It's totally legal, and every stamped bill becomes a mini billboard that is seen by an average of 875 people as it gets passed around.
