Now more than ever, we need to stand firm in our battle to defend civil rights, justice, and opportunities for the black community. That’s what I’ve been doing as your State Representative, and it’s what I’ll continue to do as your next Lieutenant Governor.
For three campaign cycles, I worked with Stacey Abrams to give Black and Brown Georgians a voice in our state — a voice that the Georgia GOP had denied us for far too long. And after years of hard work, we flipped this seat and won a victory for underrepresented communities across the state.
Ever since, I’ve been a proud advocate for Black and Brown communities in Georgia, and with organizations like the Black Slate standing with me, I’m ready to continue that work in the Lieutenant Governor’s office.
I’m grateful to have the support of this fantastic organization and dozens of other elected officials, public servants, and community leaders in Georgia.
