John,
New Yorkers have always been strong and resilient, even in the face of extreme tragedy.
Earlier this week, the subway shooting in Sunset Park left 23 people injured. That’s 23 too many.
I am deeply disturbed and upset over this tragedy. No New Yorker should feel unsafe while commuting to work or coming home, and I’m determined to continue to fight for common sense gun laws in Congress.
Our nation is in the midst of a gun epidemic that has taken too many loved ones and I’ve had enough.
My thoughts are with all those affected by this senseless tragedy, and everyone who has been impacted by the gun violence epidemic.
