In just a moment, I’ll ask you to make a contribution to my campaign ahead of our mid-month deadline on Friday. But first, I want to talk a bit about why I’m in this fight.

I’m not the kind of guy you’d expect to see in Congress. I still get $12 flattop haircuts. At home on the farm, I butcher my own meat. I didn’t come here to make friends with lobbyists or cozy up to special interests — I came here because I didn’t see anyone in our government sticking up for dirt farmers like me.

I’m here to deliver for Montanans, from taking action on climate change, to investing in education and expanding access to health care.

But with the GOP spreading reckless lies and pulling partisan stunts, they’re choosing to play politics instead of looking out for everyday folks like you and me.

Just last week, National Republicans announced they had another record-breaking fundraising quarter — and with such a razor thin majority in the Senate, we can’t afford to lose a single seat this year.

That’s why my team and I set a goal to raise $5,000 before our mid-month deadline this coming Friday. It’s an ambitious goal, but this team has risen to the challenge before, and I know we can pull it off again.
