John, everyone’s feeling the pain: prices at the pump have skyrocketed. But while we’re taking the pocketbook hit on the Russian oil ban, Big Oil is raking in the profits.

Take a look at gas prices during the pandemic. When our economy came to a screeching halt, it created a crisis for oil production. And it still hasn’t recovered, even as restrictions have lifted and Americans got back on the roads. But even when the price of the barrel recently fell back below $100, gas prices never faltered. This is how Exxon was able to achieve $23 billion in profit in 2021 – its highest in seven years. Big Oil will never shy away from exploiting our environment and our wallets for their own gain.

Big Oil and petro-dictators shouldn’t be tipping the scales on our national and energy security. The best way we can send a message to Big Oil that we refuse to be taken advantage of is to curb our fossil fuel dependency once and for all.

That’s why it’s important to have champions like Representative Mike Levin in Congress. He’s taking the lead on curbing our fossil fuel dependency. His Public Land Renewable Energy Act would utilize the great potential our public lands have for wind, solar, and geothermal energy by promoting clean energy development in an environmentally responsible manner. All the while investing revenues back into the communities where these projects are implemented.

It’s forward-thinking climate leaders like Mike Levin who work toward addressing both our dependency on foreign oil and gas and our need to make long-lasting progress towards combating climate change. Will you send a message that we’re quitting our fossil fuel dependency by splitting a contribution today between SEEC PAC and Rep. Levin today? [[link removed]]

Renewable energy leads to national security. And that’s why the work Rep. Levin is doing is so important. With the Public Land Renewable Energy Act, our nation can become a leader in renewable energy production while protecting wildlife and cultural sites.

By investing in a sustainable energy future, we can send a clear message to foreign nations and Big Oil that we’re through with fossil fuels. Split a donation today to support SEEC PAC and Rep. Levin’s work to transition to a green energy economy. [[link removed]]Thanks for your help,
