Republicans talk a good game when it comes to gun rights, but the moment they think we aren’t looking, many of them are all too happy to vote against the Second Amendment.

Last month, Congress passed a law to deputize your local police as ATF agents and fund criminal investigations into law-abiding citizens who are erroneously denied the right to buy a firearm on the error-prone National Instant Criminal Background Check (NICS) system.

It was tucked into the so-called “Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization Act” . . . which itself was tucked into a “must-pass” omnibus government funding bill . . . which was initially titled the “Haiti Development, Accountability, and Institutional Transparency Initiative Act” to keep you and me distracted.

More than a third of Republican U.S. Senators (and all the Democrats, of course) voted for it.

Here are their names:

John Barrasso (R-WY) Roy Blunt (R-MO) Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) Susan Collins (R-ME) John Cornyn (R-TX) Joni Ernst (R-IA) Lindsey Graham (R-SC) Chuck Grassley (R-IA) Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS)

Mitch McConnell (R-KY) Jerry Moran (R-KS) Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) Rob Portman (R-OH) Richard Shelby (R-AL) John Thune (R-SD) Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) Roger Wicker (R-MS) Todd Young (R-IN)

And Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL), James Lankford (R-OK), Susan Collins (R-ME), and Pat Toomey (R-PA) cosponsored legislation to open criminal investigations into 100% of background check denials as a stand-alone bill, even though government studies show 9 out of 10 times these denials are false positives.

For many, this is far from their first indiscretion on the Second Amendment. Many of them voted to confirm the anti-Second Amendment Merrick Garland for Attorney General last year (Blunt, Capito, Collins, Cornyn, Ernst, Graham, Grassley, McConnell, Moran, Murkowski, Portman, Thune).

You’ll notice a lot of these people style themselves as Second Amendment supporters, and prominent “Second Amendment” organizations endorse them.

The NRA gave Mitch McConnell an “A+” in 2020, for example.

Patriot, this is why these U.S. Senators vote for gun control. Because “mainstream” organizations are giving them a pass.

At Campaign for Liberty, we do no such thing. We will expose the record of any politician who would deprive you of your liberty.

With the 2022 election cycle already underway, Democrats are desperate to satisfy their anti-gun donors by ushering in gun control, whether by hook or by crook.

Throughout this week, we’ve been exposing the record of anti-gun fanatic Steve Dettelbach, Biden’s new nominee to head the ATF.

In his failed bid to become Attorney General of Ohio, Dettelbach campaigned on banning AR-15s, the most popular rifle in America, and all similar so-called “assault weapons.” He campaigned on “red flag” legislation to disarm law-abiding gun owners without due process of law.

With violent crime skyrocketing, Steve Dettelbach and his allies in Washington, D.C. want to prevent you from being able to defend yourself.

They need to know you are watching them!

With the Biden regime exploiting the recent Sacramento shooting – committed by a criminal gang with stolen guns – now’s a good time to send a letter demanding your senators oppose all gun control.
