Thank you. After our incredible volunteers spent hundreds of hours collecting more than a thousand petition signatures, I am proud to announce that I am officially the Democratic nominee for Congress here in Virginia's 11th Congressional District!

These past few years have been difficult, for some much more than others. I have fought throughout this pandemic to support the most vulnerable members of our community, continuing to expand access to health care, creating good paying jobs, and investing in our local and state governments to uplift the working families that are the backbone of our Commonwealth.

But if Democrats lose our majority in Congress this November, all of the progress we've made will be undone. We face a tenuous political claimte in 2022 and we have new districts here in Virginia.I have more than 200,000 new constituents who we'll have to reach consistently before November to make sure they know my record as a progressive champion and reminding them to vote.

My campaign is working to support Democrats across Virginia and the country, to guarantee Democrats gain seats and continue proving to the people of the United States that love and unity will always triumph over hate and division. And that is why, whichever of the four extremist, far right Republicans receives their nomination for Congress here in the 11th, we will show them that their demagoguery is not welcome here in Fairfax, and defeat them handily.
