John, I am devastated to have to tell you this: Ron DeSantis just signed an abortion ban in Florida.

It’s wrong, it’s shameful, it’s unconstitutional.

Today is a solemn, dark day for reproductive freedom in Florida. Governor DeSantis signed into law an unprecedented, unconstitutional attack on women and other gender minorities that violates Roe v. Wade and endangers reproductive freedom across our nation.

We all deserve the right to make our own decisions about our own bodies. Period. As governor, I would veto this bill and any attempt to restrict a woman’s right to choose.

It has never been more important that we defeat Ron DeSantis. I’m asking you to join me and Ron Be Gone in this fight today by splitting a few dollars (even $3) to boost my campaign and Ron Be Gone’s crucial work against his right-wing agenda:

Let me make this clear: I am a fierce advocate for reproductive rights, and I won’t back down.

As state senator, I voted against a 24 hour waiting period for abortion.

As governor, I vetoed a horrible piece of ultrasound legislation.

In Congress, I’ve voted against prohibiting abortions after 20 weeks, I voted against restricting access to abortion coverage in health insurance plans, and I have a perfect record on choice according to both NARAL Pro-Choice America and Planned Parenthood.

And that’s just the beginning, John.

When we win this race in November, I will veto this bill and any attempt to restrict the right to choose. I will work tirelessly to defend abortion rights and women’s rights.
