Friend, over the past year, the economy has grown faster than it has in three decades.
We’re seeing record job gains with more than 7.9 million new jobs added during President Biden’s first year in the White House. Wages are rising. Unemployment is declining. Jobless claims are the lowest they have been in more than 50 years, and the second lowest in U.S. history, now 3.6%. GDP is growing.
This is great news, but according to polls, many voters don’t know the economy is improving. And at the same time, they say the economy is very important to them in the election.
I’m working in Congress to build on these gains and continue lifting up our economy and families in Texas and across the country, but the heart of any successful campaign is effectively communicating our message with voters and telling them about the progress we’re making.
With that in mind, I want to hear from you about your thoughts on the economy and how you think we should be getting our message out to voters. Will you take a moment to take our brief survey?
