The application deadline for the Science Diversity Leadership program is approaching.
The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine welcome applications from early- to mid-career faculty at U.S. universities, medical schools, and nonprofit research institutes who advance research and act as mentors, sponsors, and role models for underrepresented groups in biomedical science. Through the Science Diversity Leadership program, faculty will support research programs and outreach, mentoring, and teaching activities.
Positive factors for selection include, but are not limited to, projects led by principal investigators who: identify with a racial or ethnic group whose underrepresentation in sciences or engineering in the U.S. has been severe and longstanding; have a diversity of lived experience to serve as a role model and broaden the perspectives of biomedical science; and demonstrate sustained personal engagement with underserved, marginalized, and/or underrepresented communities.
Applications close May 19, 2022 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Learn more and apply. Please contact [email protected] with questions.
