Dear Friend,
It's heating up out there! And it's not just the weather. This month we've seen a lot of workers fired up!
Workers who are essential and excluded, those in the newest unions and our oldest institutions have all been in motion to win for working people. And we have been with them, showing up in solidarity - the DC JWJ way!
Your sustaining contribution allows us to fight with working people - everyday!

In the last week, DC JWJ joined UNITE HERE 23 and DC Nurses Association on the picket line. We celebrated the tentative agreement that was met to preserve all the jobs in the Senate cafeteria, allowing the UNITE HERE 23 members to return to work and continue to fight for a first contract. We continue to stand with the nurses, pharmacists, dieticians and social workers at Howard University Hospital in their demands for a fair contract and respect on the job.

We are also proud to be part of the new labor movement. We celebrated at Jeff Bezos' front door after the very first Amazon warehouse won union recognition. We continue to support new organizing against multinational corporations, and fight along-side nontraditional workers. We testified with Excluded Workers, who told their stories to the DC Council, demanding continued cash assistance.

We stand in solidarity with warehouse workers, excluded workers, nurses, cooks, and more. Your contribution helps DC Jobs With Justice support these workers in their demands for justice. Please give today.
In solidarity,
