Hello John In the early hours of this morning the Metropolitan police raided a building being used by Extinction Rebellion. They arrested 9 nonviolent protesters and took valuable kit that we need in order to continue standing up to the fossil fuel industry.
This is in the same week we’ve seen doctors and scientists putting their freedom on the line in a desperate call to the government to put an end to all new fossil fuel projects.
The impact of this Rebellion is being felt and the authorities are clearly starting to clamp down. They want to shut down nonviolent protest at a time when everyone needs to take a stand to stop the harm that is happening now. If we’re going to continue putting this pressure on, we need your help. |

We know that more democracy, not less, is the route to climate justice and averting the worst effects of the crisis. Nonviolent civil resistance is the lifeblood of any healthy democracy.
So we will not give up, far too much is at stake.
