Yesterday we visited the world's biggest financial corporation to demand debt justice for the Zambian people.

Hi John,
Yesterday we took our demands for Zambian debt justice to Blackrock's front door. Now you can help grow our campaign.
On the day that Blackrock announced that it had again made billions of dollars of profits in the past year, we held protests outside their offices in London and Edinburgh.
Blackrock is set to make 110% profit on the Zambian debt it holds. Meanwhile, the Zambian government is spending more on debt payments than health, education and social spending combined.
This is unsustainable and unjust. We are calling on Blackrock to cancel Zambia's debt so that the government can free up funds to invest in healthcare and climate action.
Join us in calling on Blackrock to cancel Zambia's debt.

** David vs. Goliath
------------------------------------------------------------
In the coming weeks, Zambia will be going into negotiations with its lenders to find a resolution to its ongoing debt crisis.
As the world's wealthiest asset manager and Zambia's biggest bondholder, Blackrock is well placed to offer justice to the Zambian people through debt cancellation.
And that is exactly what Zambian civil society is demanding. Yesterday, we took a stand in solidarity with those demands.
We held simultaneous protests in London and Edinburgh to highlight how Blackrock is draining Zambia of vital finance and resources that could be used to support public healthcare and climate action.
Join us in standing in solidarity with Zambian civil society's demands for debt cancellation by taking action below.

------------------------------------------------------------
** The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed over a hundred million people across the world into extreme poverty.
------------------------------------------------------------
Lower-income countries who are taking the hardest hit from the devastating pandemic are still saddled with huge debt payments to unaccountable private creditors in the global north.
Together we can challenge this, and fight for a more just and sustainable alternative. Regular gifts give us the long-term stability to plan effective campaigns, as well as the flexibility to react to key events.
