Tread on Trafficking is back! The wellness challenge and fundraiser to help end child trafficking and exploitation starts June 1st. It’s simple: Anyone anywhere can sign up. Treaders ask people in their network to support them for the number of miles or hours they spend running, swimming, biking, or doing any wellness activity. Take part to raise money to prevent child trafficking and provide care for survivors.

Next week, Love146 will be presenting at an exclusive forum for Human Trafficking service providers who are grantees of the Department of Justice's Office of Victims of Crime (OVC). Love146's CEO and co-founder, Rob Morris, alongside our Director of Communications, Marilyn Murray, will share about collaboration with OVC to transform our practices and communications to better meet the needs of survivors of human trafficking. While this forum is only open to government grantees, last summer Love146 presented in another panel on how being trauma-informed influences our organization and marketing.

GET THE RECAP ([link removed])

Child trafficking is real; it’s an incredibly heavy issue, and it’s universally abhorrent. Many people, like you, want to see children protected. People in positions of power understand this and are using it to try to manipulate the public for their own gain. Over the last several months, we’ve seen an increasing number of situations in which the issue of child sex trafficking and exploitation is being co-opted to push profits and political agendas. Read our thoughts about this harmful type of manipulation with recent examples.

SEE WHAT WE MEAN ([link removed])

Recently, there was a request for information made by the US State Department’s Office to Combat Trafficking in Persons. The Senior Policy Operating Group (SPOG) asked for input from key stakeholders and community members on how it can advance racial justice and equity in work combatting human trafficking. We’re glad this request was made, and we submitted an answer for consideration.

Love146 CEO and co-founder Rob Morris spoke with marketing leader Spike Jones on the podcast, CX Confessions. (CX is insider lingo for "Customer Experience"). We’re all guilty of applying labels to others and reducing their complexity and humanity. Rob and Spike spoke about human connection, and recognizing that on the other side of the phone, the screen, or the label—there's a human attached who feels, reacts, and solves.
