Dear John,

Yesterday, the Bank of Canada raised its interest rate to combat inflation.

Inflation has reached levels not seen in decades, and yet the causes, consequences — and beneficiaries — of inflation remain largely unknown to many Canadians.

Part of our mission here at the Fraser Institute is to educate Canadians on these important issues and how they affect their lives.

So today we released A Primer on Inflation, a study which seeks to answer some of the common questions about inflation, such as: What is inflation? What triggers inflation? Who suffers from, and benefits from, inflation? And why would the bank of Canada raise interest rates to combat it?

Check out the answers our study came up with by reading the full study here [[link removed]].

Over the coming days, we're going to be taking these important, educational messages to social media to help Canadians understand the effects of inflation.

If you can, please consider making a donation [[link removed][campaignid]] so that we can bring our important research to even more people!

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Niels Veldhuis
