Dear John,
We hope this Passover and holiday season find you and your loved ones healthy and safe. Nothing is more important than that as we live through extraordinary times.
The Passover Seder — one of the Jewish community’s most enduring rituals — centers on both the need to lift our voices against the oppression felt by those driven from home or living in fear and the need to rejoice in liberation upon emerging from danger. The Passover story reminds us that the antisemitism we see today is just the latest manifestation of an evil we must fight from generation to generation. The annual remembrance of fleeing from oppressors is so resonant this year given the refugee crisis caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine that has driven millions from their homes, and the conflict in Afghanistan that has caused a surge in refugees.
There are so many who need our advocacy and support and we encourage you to use

ADL’s downloadable Passover Seder supplement on “Four Questions: Seeking Safety and Justice for Refugees and Immigrants” that has been updated to reflect this refugee crisis.
Passover, Easter and Ramadan all overlap this year. Whether you observe these or any other holiday that is meaningful to your faith and culture... this year, take time amidst the joy to open your arms in support of all of those who need a safe place to call home.
During Passover, as each Seder lifts up the story of liberation, we thank you deeply for being part of the ADL community and helping us to fight hate for good.
We wish you and your loved ones togetherness, health and happiness.
Best,
