Josh Green for Hawaii
Aloha friends,

One of the biggest issues we face here in Hawaii is housing insecurity and homelessness. That’s why Josh is proud to be a champion of the Kauhale Initiative, a state-wide plan to provide housing and community to our homeless residents.

Josh helped introduce the Kauhale Initiative to the Hawaii State Legislature, and has plans to create more kauhale across the state when elected Governor.

Last Wednesday, Josh attended the official Kamaoku Welcome Home celebration.

Did you know that being homeless in Hawaii can decrease your life expectancy by as many as 30 years? That’s why initiatives like the Kamaoku kauhale are so important.

Kamaoku and other kauhale like it provide our homeless neighbors with an opportunity not just to have a roof over their heads, but to experience aloha and inclusion in a supportive community.

We believe that kauhale communities are an important way to reduce homelessness in Hawaii, but we’d like to hear from you.

Do you believe addressing homelessness and the housing crisis should be top priorities in Hawaii?
