Hi John, Senator Bob Casey here. I want to take a moment to tell you about my friend Dwight Evans and why I'm proud to endorse his re-election campaign for Pennsylvania’s 3rd congressional district. I’ve known Dwight for more than three decades. He has served the people of Philadelphia with honor and distinction.

Since his first day in office, Dwight has been an effective ally in the House helping Democrats move historic legislation forward. This Congress, Dwight and I re-introduced our bill that will help victims of gun violence identify and access the resources they need. People in Philly and across our state are rightfully worried about the skyrocketing rates of gun violence, and together we’re hard at work delivering solutions.

That's the special thing about Dwight: he is a community activist first. He's always out meeting directly with the people he serves. He delivers results to neighborhoods across Philadelphia, street by street and block by block — from investing in our infrastructure and tackling food insecurity to funding programs to keep kids safe and revitalizing underserved neighborhoods.

I know Dwight isn't done fighting for the people of the 3rd District, but we can't take his leadership for granted. Dwight needs our help reaching voters across the city in the final weeks before the May 17 primary.
