[1]Cori Bush
   John, did you see
Cori on television last night? She joined Stephen Colbert on air to talk
about what it means to be a politivist in Congress.

What she said was powerful. Here’s an excerpt:
“I’m not taking my activist hat off in Congress. I call it being a
‘politivist’ – a politician and activist. Because the activist is going to
push, be on the ground and listen and have the courage to move things that
other people might not feel comfortable moving. The politician has the
pen. A politician has the power of the purse. So marrying the two says I
hear what the people need… and use that to inform legislation.”
   — Cori Bush
This is exactly the kind of people-first leadership we need to make sure
Congress passes policies that lift ALL of us up.

All of Cori's legislating and organizing work is powered by everyday
people like you. [ [link removed] ]So, will you make a $5 donation right
now so Cori can take on more big challenges in Congress and continue
   working for progressive change?

Everyday, Cori brings her lived experiences to Congress and advocates for
the millions of other folks who share that same struggle.
Cori understands what it’s like to be unhoused with a family. That's why
she not only organized a five-day action outside of the Capitol to demand
the Biden Administration extend the eviction moratorium, she also
introduced the Keeping Renters Safe Act in the House of Representatives.
Cori has experienced firsthand the devastating impact of police violence
in her community. That’s why she wrote the People’s Response Act and is
advocating for major public safety reform that will ensure Black lives are
   protected.
Cori knows what it’s like to make the decision to get an abortion. That’s
why she testified in Congress to defend abortion access and advocated in
   defense of Roe v. Wade.
When we lift up our voices and stories together — we have the power to
demand the change our families need and save lives. That’s been the core
of our mission in Congress and that’s why we’re running for re-election so
that Cori can continue boldly leading.
[ [link removed] ]Will you show your support right now for Cori and chip
in $5 to power our re-election campaign? We have 7
challengers and need every little bit of support from this movement to
   keep Cori in Congress.
   Thank you,
   Team Cori
