Team,

New Mexico is home to an abundance of public land — our deserts, forests, and mountains are connected to our cultures, economy, history, and traditions. Our public lands provide our communities with a diverse range of uses like hiking, fishing, hunting, biking, camping, grazing, and more.

Gabe has devoted years of his life toward protecting our public lands and passing on his love of the outdoors to young people, because he firmly believes it’s our responsibility to conserve these special places for present and future generations. One of Gabe’s earliest memories is fishing for catfish with his Dad under the bridge in Hatch.

Yvette Herrell, on the other hand, is a member of the anti-public lands caucus and puts the interests of corporate CEOs over those of New Mexicans.

In her short tenure in Congress, Herrell has:
- Voted against a bill to help New Mexico clean up industry-abandoned oil and gas wells that pollute our air, water, and threaten wildlife; and
- Has refused to support Sen. Heinrich’s bipartisan Recovering America’s Wildlife Act, which would fund conservation of threatened and endangered species and provide millions of dollars to Tribal nations for conservation efforts. She’s even referred to endangered species and habitat conservation as “federal overreach.”

And as a state legislator, Herrell:
- Tried to create a commission to study the transfer of federal public lands, a bill that two Republicans joined six Democrats to stop right here in New Mexico; and
- Received the “State Chair of the Year Award” from ALEC, a Koch-funded organization that actively works to undermine environmental regulations and deny climate change.

If you care about the conservation of New Mexico’s public lands and wildlife, Herrell is not the representative for you. Gabe will fight for our public lands and work to balance energy production with the conservation of our air, land, water, and wildlife.

That’s why Gabe is endorsed by the League of Conservation Voters, New Mexico Wild Action, and the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund!

Help elect a true environment and public lands champion to represent NM-02 in Congress this November: pitch in $10 or more to support Gabe’s campaign today.
