This is almost too wild to be true,
John.
Our far-right opponent Mike Gibbons said that middle-class Americans don’t
pay “any kind of a fair share” of income taxes.
That’s right: The multi-millioniare front-runner for the GOP nomination
for Senate wants to raise taxes on middle-class Ohioans — all while
pursuing an agenda that would slash taxes on corporations and the wealthy.
I’m running for Senate to fight for an Ohio where corporations and
multi-millionaires like Mike Gibbons finally pay THEIR fair share, not to
raise taxes on those who are already struggling. [ [link removed] ]Can you chip in right
now to help fuel our grassroots campaign and fight back against GOP greed?

These comments resurfaced after Senator Rick Scott, one of the leaders of
the national GOP, released an economic agenda that would raise taxes on
tens of millions of everyday Americans while cutting them for corporations
and the ultra-rich. I think that’s just wrong.
Between this and his callous comments about people of color, Mike Gibbons’
mission is clear: He wants to divide Ohioans based on what we look like
and where we come from so he can rip off our communities and put money in
the pockets of his wealthy friends.
We need to stop this by fighting to bring solutions to the problems facing
working families: affordable healthcare, a living wage and providing
opportunity to all Ohioans.
That’s why I’m in this race for the U.S. Senate, and that’s why I’m asking
you: [ [link removed] ]can you donate $5 or whatever you can afford to
help our people-powered movement stand up against the out-of-touch GOP and
their tax-raising schemes?
Thanks for being a supporter — I couldn’t do this without you.
In solidarity,
Morgan
