Abbott's border blockade is killing jobs, increasing the prices we pay at
the store, and worsening the supply chain. He's hurting the people of
Texas.
These trucks that Greg Abbott is targeting at the border are carrying
parts that are destined for the factory floor in San Antonio, where we
build the Toyota Tundra and Tacoma. They are also on their way to
factories in Ohio, Michigan, and other parts of this country. Greg
Abbott’s actions are going to jeopardize jobs throughout Texas and
throughout the United States.
And this didn’t have to happen, it’s a decision of one man and one man
alone – Greg Abbott. This is a political stunt that does nothing to
improve the safety or security of our border because these inspections are
for things like the tire pressure or the way the engine might be running
in an 18-wheeler. This policy is for show and does nothing but hurt the
economy of Texas and the United States.
Greg Abbott cares more about political stunts than what happens to Texans
and Americans. We need your help to defeat him in November and elect
