Dear Friend,
Great news! I’m helping to bring more than $172 million to North Texas this year to reduce congestion, improve public transportation and grow our local economy. This is part of the nearly $650 million in transit funding that Texas will receive as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that I helped pass. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is the biggest investment in Texas’ infrastructure in a generation and will create jobs and allow the United States to lead the world.

Do you agree we need to reduce congestion and improve public transit in North Texas?

As a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I’m proud to deliver funding from this bipartisan law that will allow North Texas’ infrastructure to keep up with our region’s rapid growth. This particular funding will allow transit agencies like DART to upgrade their buses and rail cars, make needed repairs and expand their services.
The investments from Bipartisan Infrastructure Law are a big deal for North Texas. In addition, this year our state is set to receive $107 million in bridge repair funding, over $80 million in funding headed to DFW Airport and Love Field Airport, and over $60 million for electric vehicle charging stations to help combat high gas prices and the climate crisis.
I will continue to work with DART and other local agencies to get this money to work as quickly as possible to reduce congestion, create jobs and grow our economy. It’s an honor to serve North Texas, where I was born and raised.
Sincerely,
Colin Allred Member of Congress
