Friend -

Continuing our effort to make our work transparent I want to update you on a key strategic area of work needing attention if we are to win in 2024.

The Secretary of State’s (SOS) office is key to making sure we have a democratic and fair election. In GA in 2018 Kemp was both the SOS and the gubernatorial candidate. Conflict or no, Kemp went ahead and purged voters of color from the voter rolls, blocked registrations based on instituting random rules, and blocked absentee ballots from being sent out to 10s of thousands of voters of color. All in all Kemp was able to block hundreds of thousands of voters in a race that he stole for about 32K votes.

In GA, AZ, and MI this has the potential to happen again. The SOS’s in those races backed by Donald Trump are just waiting to institute even more voter suppressive rules targeting voters of color. That is why we are supporting Adrian Fontes in AZ, Bee Nguyen in GA, and Jocelyn Benson in MI. If we don’t defend fair and just elections in these states we could lose the Presidential race in 2024.

Will you chip in to help us in 2022 and build for 2024? [[link removed]]

This focus is critical to our communities of color getting the opportunity to vote. Voter suppression is at an all time high. And the conservative segments led by Donald Trump are all too ready to implement the most disgusting and unjust rules. If the January 6th uprising and conservatives demand to overturn a fair and just election is any historical lesson then we must work together to defend our freedoms now.

Help us get this done. Contribute what you can. And get active this year because we need you all to be with us. [[link removed]]

Thank you for your continued support.
