It's been two days since President Barack Obama emailed you asking if you'd make your first contribution to the Democratic Unity Fund.

President Obama partnered with the DNC to launch the Democratic Unity Fund in May of this year. Since then, over 57,152 donors have chipped in directly to support the fund.

Want to know a huge reason why this fund is so crucial to our eventual nominee for president and Democrats down the ballot? The general election. Donald Trump and the RNC have amassed a staggering war chest. But through the Democratic Unity Fund, the DNC is funding organizers in battleground states, running digital ads, and building the tech and data infrastructure that our nominee will need to win in 2020. Because no matter how strong our nominee is, she or he can't win in 2020 unless we hand over a strong infrastructure. There just wouldn't be enough time to build it.
