We're putting up a billboard to call out Comcast's biggest shill in the U.S. Senate: Kyrsten Sinema.

John,

Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema is the only Democrat in the entire U.S. Congress who refuses to support net neutrality—despite the fact that 80 percent of her constituents support it.1,2

And now a bombshell news report directly ties her to a Comcast lobbyist's dark money group.

The report found that Sinema directed $100,000 to an anti-net neutrality group funded by Big Cable, which in turn ran a huge last-minute ad in support of Sinema's campaign for U.S. Senate. That's on top of the donations she's gotten directly from AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Cox, and Charter.3

Last spring, we put up a billboard put next to one of the busiest highways in Arizona, and in response, Arizona Democrats drafted a censure resolution condemning her opposition to net neutrality.

Now we're aiming to put up another billboard demanding that Sinema return every dollar she's gotten from Big Cable. Will you make a donation to help get this billboard up?

DONATE

Sen. Sinema barely won her race for Senate, and is expected to face a tough reelection the next time she's up. She could score easy political points by supporting net neutrality, which is overwhelmingly popular in her state.

So why doesn't she? It's all about the money.

The new report details Sinema's connection to a dark money group funded by Big Cable and wireless companies. In September 2018, a political action committee run by Sinema gave $150,000 to Center Forward's political action committee. Just a month later, Center Forward's political action committee made a last-minute $100,000 ad buy in Sinema's 2018 Senate race against Martha McSally. Sinema won that race by just a few points, and she has paid back Big Cable for their help with her opposition to net neutrality.4

Center Forward's board is made up entirely of corporate lobbyists and is heavily funded by the cable/telecom industry. NCTA, a lobby group that represents cable companies, has donated $137,000 to the group. CTIA, which represents Verizon and AT&T, gave it another $30,000.5

Sinema's close ties to lobbyists and dark money groups run by Big Cable and wireless corporations need to be exposed. That's why we're going big in Arizona to make sure that voters know the truth. But we need your help to make it happen.

Will you donate to put up a billboard calling out Sinema's corrupt opposition to net neutrality and demanding she give back every dime she's gotten from Big Cable?

For the Internet,

Evan at Fight for the Future
