Friend, I’d first like to say how appreciative I am of your support throughout the last week. Thanks to supporters like you, our campaign just did something I’m so incredibly proud of: today we’re on the air with our very first TV ads.
The best part? We didn’t just launch one. We launched TWO ads highlighting my family history in Maryland and how public schools literally saved my life after my parents passed away when I was a kid. Both ads share my vision to build a more equitable Maryland, and I hope you’ll take a minute to take a look – and if you can, pitch in to help us keep them on the air.

The first ad, “Three Generations,” tells the story of how my family went from being enslaved in a cabin in Gaithersburg to serving in the cabinet of the first Black president and why my story of generational progress has shaped my vision to guarantee opportunities for all Marylanders.
In our second ad, “Education is the Difference,” I share how public school saved my life after my parents passed away when I was a kid and how, as a public school parent, I understand the supports Maryland families, students, and educators need to not just to survive, but to thrive after two very difficult years.
Both ads make clear that, as governor, I will work to ensure every Marylander has access to the same opportunities that public institutions afforded to me. And I will make it my mission to lead state government as a true transformative force for good.
However, in order to fully fund and share these ads as widely as possible, we need your help to keep them on the air. Will you contribute $500, $50, $5, or whatever amount works for your budget now?

The success of these ads is absolutely crucial because they function as a direct line of communication to key Maryland voters. People are living their day-to-day lives and might not know there's a gubernatorial election this year – that's why it's so important that we spread the word and share our vision for Maryland’s future.
