In an exception to the Clean Air Act, Biden will allow E15 gas to be sold this summer - For decades, biofuels have been marketed and mandated by politicians as environmentally friendly energy security solutions rather than competing on their merits in an open market. And yet they only meet 5 percent of Americans’ transportation needs, while petroleum meets over 90 percent. In announcing a legally questionable EPA waiver to allow sales of E15 this summer and over $700 million in subsidies to farmers, President Biden said this decision was about energy that’s “made in America” and reduces America’s reliance on foreign oil. Apparently that same reasoning doesn’t apply to oil produced in the United States. Incredibly, the President is persisting in trademarking the high energy prices Americans are suffering as “Putin’s Price Hike” and claiming he is “doing everything he can” to put downward pressure on gasoline prices. Yet he is talking out of both sides of his mouth as his administration has not let up on its regulatory agenda to make sure oil companies have no future in the United States. Who Suffers the Most From Crime Wave – Violent crime, like the price of gas, is rising. Not everyone is experiencing this crime wave in the same way. For some, it’s a distant issue experienced by other people somewhere else. For others, it’s a daily life-threatening concern. We parsed the FBI’s crime data from 2011 to 2020 (the most recent data available) and found that African Americans bear an increasingly large share of the harm from crime. African American offenders, meanwhile, are committing an increasingly large share of violent crimes. For other racial groups, the numbers are either decreasing (in the case of both white victims and offenders), increasing by much smaller amounts, or holding constant. It’s Not a ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Law. It’s an Anti-Indoctrination Law – Americans are beginning to wake up to the rot inflicted by gender ideology. And as much as the left tries to pretend that concerned parents are just homophobic bigots and that Florida’s legislation is aimed at denying gays exist, that argument just doesn’t hold water. Polling data from Politico shows that a majority of Americans favor banning the teaching of gender identity and sexual orientation to kids from kindergarten through third grade. That number includes 46% of independents who also support the ban, making it difficult to claim this is an effort led purely by “evil” Republicans. The “Don’t Say Gay” label is unfair. The bill stipulates no such thing. Leftists should feel free to say, shout, or whisper the word “gay” as much as they want. Just leave the kids out of it.
