VAYD Convention Recap
The annual convention for the Virginia Young Dems was hosted in a hybrid manner last weekend (April 8-10) with the in-person portion taking place in Alexandria. During the convention, the delegates approved new resolutions and elected new officers to serve from now until next convention.
The body approved these resolutions (full descriptions here):
- Resolution to Support Unionization of Starbucks Stores
- Calling on Congress to Double the Maximum Value of the Pell Grant
- Supporting Lower the Voting Age to 16
The 2022-2023 VAYD Officers are as follows:
- President: Denver Supinger (Fairfax)

- Campaign Director: Camden Layton (George Mason University)

FYD Passover Seder
Looking for a place to observe Passover? Have no idea what Passover is and want to learn? Just craving good Jewish food? Join your Fairfax Young Democrats on the last day of Passover to learn about the holiday and tradition and to indulge in some great food!
This potluck-style event is being hosted at a member's home. The address will be shared when folks RSVP to this event (on Facebook or via email) AND fill out the form below!

FYD Reorganization
Become the Next Leader of the Fairfax Young Democrats!
The Fairfax Young Democrats are reorganizing at its next meeting, on April 28th from 7:30 - 9 PM. During this meeting, we will be electing our next set of leaders! Leadership roles include Co-President, Vice President, Political Director, Treasurer, and Secretary. You can learn more about these positions by reading our constitution.
If you are interested in running for a leadership position, please complete this form by noon, April 28th.
If you are interested in being considered for an appointed role (Teenage Liaison, Membership Director, Young Professionals Chair, Campaign Director, Finance Director, Chief Technology Officer, Events Coordinator, Communications Director, or Community Liaison) please complete this form.
