Dear John,
At the Muslim Public Affairs Council, our work is rooted in promoting the shared Islamic and American values of equality, human dignity, and freedom and justice for all.
Our work ensures that American Muslims have a seat at the table and can contribute in a meaningful way. However, simply having access to lawmakers isn't the end goal— the end goal is to create policy ideas and solutions to pass along a stronger society to our children than the one we inherited.
For this reason, MPAC is part of a coalition of organizations known as the Community Collaborative Initiative, a research project hosted by Indiana University's Lilly School of Philanthropy.
We are proud to announce that we're co-hosting the inaugural National American Muslim Policy Conference on Tuesday, June 7.
This joint initiative will bring together elected officials, experts, and leaders from across the nation to discuss our community's policy priorities and needs. We are proud to be working alongside American Muslim Health Professionals, Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, Illinois Muslim Civic Coalition, and Emgage Action.
Our hope with this conference is to underscore the power of our collective impact to uplift the American Muslim voice and provide meaningful solutions to the complex issues our communities face. We invite you to attend this important event virtually.
