This just in: Matt Gaetz is still a jerk. 

Republicans would rather blame Americans for having a life-altering disease than be a part of the solution. Their message to diabetics seeking medication: maybe you should just work a little harder. 

And really, that’s their message on everything, from public education, to COVID-19, to child care. They think, it’s not our responsibility to help you, it’s YOUR responsibility to figure it out for yourself.

Republican representatives sit in one of the most powerful legislatures in the world, choose to do nothing helpful with that power, and then boldly claim it’s actually working Americans who are at fault. They really need to get over themselves and get out of the way of progress.
