We shouldn't fear getting shot while going about our daily lives.

Moms Demand Action

John,

Commuters, neighbors, and loved ones are yet again reeling from the terror of gun violence after this morning's shooting on the New York subway in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

While we await more information, there's one thing we already know: We urgently need action to prevent gun violence in our country.

People should not have to fear getting shot while commuting to work or school, meeting friends, or running errands—but too many of our leaders continue to fail us by refusing to act.

Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action volunteers are organizing in their communities every single day calling on lawmakers to take action to end gun violence. While we await more details about this incident, we will continue to work alongside community leaders and our allies in elected office at all levels of government.

As a movement of millions, we rely on grassroots supporters like you coming together to make change. Get more involved in the movement to end gun violence: Sign up today to join volunteers in your community.

Thank you for being a part of this movement,
