California Environmental Voters is holding our annual social event to honor climate champions THIS MONTH — and you’re invited, friend! The Badass in Green Awards, on April 28 in Los Angeles, recognizes the achievements of innovators and leaders in the fight for climate justice and against climate change. It’s a chance for environmental activists from up and down the state to come together for an evening of hope and inspiration. We just added Academy Award-nominated writer, director, and producer Adam McKay to our list of this year’s honorees for his film Don’t Look Up. He joins Southern California Edison executive Caroline Choi, Northern Chumash Tribal Council chairwoman Violet Sage Walker, and Genesis Butler, a 15-year-old environmental and animal rights activist, as the Badass leaders we’ll be celebrating. Three California legislators who scored 100% on our 2021 Environmental Scorecard are set to present: Assemblymember Laura Friedman, Assembly Majority Leader Eloise Reyes, and Senator Henry Stern. Watch our video with Genesis Butler, then buy your ticket now for the Badass in Green Awards. Tickets start at $50 for youth and $100 for adults, with all funds supporting our mission to advance bold climate action. |
